Administrative Officers from Palestine,

Woither Reeves nor Asquith look the right type for Hong Kong, experience of both being of District Officers work for which there are few opportunities here,

In addition, Reeves is older than desirable, but I should be prepared to accept Asquish if no more sul table candidate can be found, and to regard him as cecond of the three post war 1.0.3, officers whose recruitment was requested in my telegram No. 956 of 1947o

3.

One further vacancy will then exist Por an I. C.S. officer.

McDougall will be replying in grester detall de Payle's letter of 13th April.
